Housing and meals are provided on the campus of Reed College and offer Uke Fest participants convenience, comfort, and beautiful surroundings in which to make music.

The dorms reserved for participants offer single rooms as well as doubles that are semi-private. Shared bathrooms, designated male and female, are on each floor. The dorms are near the gathering places for Uke Fest, and every effort will be made to accommodate your housing needs.

There are two dorm options this year. Aspen, a brand new dorm, built with green materials and methods, is part of a complex of four small dormitories on a beautiful commons planted with native trees and shrubs. Aspen is likely to be a little more accommodating to those who have difficulty with stairs. It is an air-conditioned dorm with individual climate control in each room. It is across “The Canyon” which means there is a pleasant bridge walk that takes you quickly to food service and Uke Fest Central.

Rooms are also available in the “Old Dorm Block (ODB)”. With ivy clinging to its venerable bricks, ODB was built in 1912 and remodeled in 1992, and feature spacious rooms and beautiful architecture. Accommodations in ODB cost a little less. Both dorms are near food services and Uke Fest Central. Please email or call the housing coordinator for uke fest if you want help making a decision.

Room includes: 5 nights. Each room comes with linens, light weight blanket and pillow, towels, soap, cup, a bed, desk, dresser, closet, ceiling lamp. We recommend guests bring a reading light, clock, and additional blanket (if desired).

Meals will be served on campus by Bon Apétit food service and include: 5 breakfasts, 4 lunches, and 5 dinners. Dinner on Tuesday evening is the first meal provided on campus.

Resident Fees If you are staying on campus, the meals are included as a package from the college and cannot be purchased separately. The total cost per person for a room and all meals during Uke Fest is $300 (ODB) or $360 (Aspen).

Guests If you have a guest who wishes to stay on campus with you but not attend the event, accommodations will be made if possible. Housing with the meal plan must be purchased for anyone staying on campus. Please note: Only registered students are allowed in the classes and workshops.
